Some of the first questions
parents ask us towards the end of our classes is
"What do I do
if our childcare providers don't sign?" and
"Do you know of
child care centres who sign with the children in their care?"
Child care providers, as well, are learning about the benefits of
signing with the children. WeeHands find a class
help child care educators learn how, what and when to sign with
children in their care. Training for your child care staff can be
arranged at your facility or school.

Our
child care training programs are based on Sign2Me's Northlight Childcare Advantage
Program (NCAP). The Northlight Childcare Advantage
Program was designed and developed for childcare centers
that recognize the significant benefits obtained by incorporating an
American Sign Language program for HEARING children into their
regular curricula. NCAP provides the resources, tools and support to
facilitate a quality signing program utilizing the products and

Qualified WeeHands find a class are available
to trained staff working in child care centers. We offer two training packages for child care centres and their
staff:

Care Basics – 6 hours of training
by a qualified WeeHands instructor + a WeeHands manual
for each staff member.
