Amy Skidmore is fluent
in American Sign Language and has been involved within the Deaf Community since
July 1998. She has also completed a variety of courses in American Sign
Language, Deaf Culture and Interpreting. Amy is a recent graduate of the
American Sign Language – English Interpreting Program at George Brown College in
Toronto. Along with her studies, Amy has also volunteered with numerous Deaf
organizations to practice and enhance her signing skills and communication style
with the Deaf consumers.

Amy has always been in awe of the ability
that children who are deaf have to learn through sign and is equally excited
about bringing WeeHands classes and workshops to families in
Innisfil and Barrie. She looks forward to sharing the amazing world of
sign language and the learning experiences it is sure to bring for both the
children and the families in her classes.
