Cara Senterfeit
is mom to signing little girl and has
been a classroom teacher of Deaf children for 12 years.
Cara holds Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Education, an
Associate's degree in Sign Language Interpreting and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science.

"I am looking for another avenue to raise the
communication level in the children of South Carolina. Education is my passion and I love, love, love sign language!
I want to share with others the joy of early
communication with their child. My husband
(who is Deaf) and I adopted our daughter from
Russia when she was 10 months old. We, of
course, signed with her as that is our form of
communication at home. Within 1 1/2 months
of being in a new country with a new family and
new language, she was signing to us! That
is a testimony to the power of sign language
used with babies!" |
