Joy Brooks holds a BA in Psychology from Columbia College
and a
Masters of Health Administration from Adams and Washington
University. Joy comes to WeeHands with 5 years of formal instruction in ASL
and has been actively involved in the deaf community with adults and children.
For the past 10 years, Joy has been a director of a summer camp for deaf and hard of hearing
children in her community.

desire to celebrate deaf culture, improve
communication between babies and their families
and to nurture an appreciation of deaf culture
within my community beginning with those who
will one day lead us. You can imagine how much I
anticipated signing with with my now 2 year old daughter. It
was a huge success and I believe her verbal
vocabulary is much more extensive than her peers
at this point in her development as a result!" |
