Robin Mech is a mother to 2 beautiful girls, Taylor and Kiara - a WeeHands Signing Babies graduate! She has worked for over 20 years in the area of recreation, fitness, health and family wellness. Including 15 years at the Hamilton YWCA as Fitness Coordinator. Robin has been studying American Sign Language through the Canadian Hearing Society since the spring of 2005. Robin holds a Recreation Leadership Diploma from Mohawk College, and is also a certified Pilates Instructor, CFC, Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Master Trainer for the YWCA.

"We originally wanted to learn to sign with our wee one to help bridge the gap of any possible speech and language delays. Now we can't believe how well she communicates both with her ASL signs and her verbal words! At 14 months Kiara was able to sign 3 -4 word sentences! And at 23 months her verbal skills were equal or beyond! Our parents were astounded at how easy it was to communicate with a pre-verbal baby! They even found themselves practicing at the dinner table to remember the latest signs our daughter had learned! We are thrilled with the way we are able to see and understand the world through our daughter's eyes. Signing with our daughter has been one of the best parenting choices we have made!"
