Roz Jutras
is a proud mother of 2 girls, her signing students! She is kinesiology
graduate from the University of Saskatchewan and has worked in the
fitness industry since 1999. Upon the birth of her first child, Roz
decided to pursue a career in early childhood education. She has taken
several ASL workshops, as well as other certifications (i.e. The Happiest
Baby). Roz operates a home daycare and enjoys teaching other children the
benefits of American Sign Language. In addition, she has her own on-line
store,
www.mommyhandsbabysignlanguage.ca, which retails baby signing and
other early developmental products. Roz also teaches other parent and
baby classes such as infant reflexology & massage, and "The Happiest
Baby" workshops.

Roz remarks, "Signing
with my children has been the most rewarding
activity I could do for their development. My
oldest daughter was able to recite her ABC’s
before she was two years old. I have also
noticed through her growth that she has better
reading comprehension then most children her
age. My daughters and I love to sign and sing to
our favourite songs. It is something that we
love to share together!" |
